Terms of use
Plain-English terms for a free tool. By using the site you agree to them.
The service
I Hate HEIC is a free set of tools for converting, compressing, editing and inspecting photos. The tools run in your web browser on your own device. We don't need an account and we don't ask for one.
Your photos
Your photos stay yours. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive them and claim no rights in them or in the files you create.
Fair use
Please don't attack, overload or try to break the site, scrape it at a rate that harms other visitors, or use it to process material you have no right to use.
No warranty
We work hard to make every conversion correct, but the tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Keep your originals until you have checked the results. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site.
Open source
The site uses open source software, including libheif (LGPL), libwebp, libaom, kvazaar, pdf-lib and others, under their own licences.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
